Hello, I'm Mike Rosenstark, an experienced SAT and ACT tutor with a career spanning 35+ years in the North Jersey area (and all around the world courtesy of Zoom).
Over the years, I've taught over a thousand students on their journeys to excel at these standardized tests. My tutees would say Iām energetic and have a great sense of humor, which makes our sessions engaging and enjoyable. Many of my former students have gone on to achieve remarkable success in their academic pursuits and beyond, including Dr. Jordyn Feingold, who recently thanked me in her new book! Consider me a proud educator.
Having grown up in West Orange, NJ, I owe a large part of my academic success to my exceptional PSAT Scores, which helped to earn me a National Merit Scholarship in 1984. This sent me on my way to Rutgers University to study music composition and economics, neither of which led to career paths I really saw myself going down.
During high school and college I had given guitar lessons locally, and while completing my undergrad I found a job SAT/ACT tutoring for a large company which I soon outgrew. I started booking lessons on my own, eventually creating my own educational content and instructional videos out of my now world-famous basement.
I now have 2 kids who have graduated from Livingston High School. My son, Steven, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Rutgers Economics program and is writing this part about himself right now. My daughter, Izzi, is currently studying TV Production and Mythology at Montclair State University. My wife, Marci, is an active member of the Livingston community, and taught at Heritage Middle School and Livingston High School for many years.
My goal as a tutor goes beyond just helping my students achieve high scores: it's about instilling in them a lifelong love for learning, empowering them with the skills and confidence to succeed in their careers and lives. With my years of experience and passion for teaching, I'm committed to helping my students achieve their dreams of reaching their full academic and educational potential.
